Worlds Largest Swinging Anti-Ram Vehicle Barrier receives top U.S. Department of Defense Certification
Morrison Equipment’s 40-foot wide anti-ram vehicle barrier meets highest crash test standards set by the U.S. D.O.D.
( EMAILWIRE.COM, November 23, 2005 ) Adelanto, California – Morrison Equipment has announced its 40-foot wide anti-ram vehicle barrier has met the highest crash test standards set by the U.S. Department of Defense.
Morrison Equipment’s 40-foot swing gate earned the K12 L3 rating when it stopped a five ton truck, loaded to 15,000 pounds, traveling at 50 miles per hour. The rating means the vehicle was unable to penetrate past the gate. Karco Engineering LLC, an independent crash test facility in Adelanto, California, performed the test.

In addition to stopping vehicles, Morrison Equipment gates can be built with expanded steel mesh and razor wire to keep pedestrian traffic out of a secure area. Far more difficult to cut than chain link, expanded steel mesh is a standard in high level security.
